CS expects a more people centered strategy from the 5th EU-Africa summit

On 29 and 30 November 2017, African and European Heads of State and Government will gather in Abidjan for the 5th EU-Africa Summit under the central theme “Investing in youth for a sustainable future”. The preparation of the summit represents a key moment to debate the current EU policies, agreements and instruments of cooperation with the African continent and to assess how far the two partners take people’s aspiration and needs into account in their joint strategy. Together with various NGO networks and coalitions, ACT Alliance EU worked out a number of recommendations focusing on the issues that will have the greatest impact on the EU-Africa relations in coming years.
