Checklist: For robust, meaningful and ambitious adaptation policies across the EU

Current EU economic losses from weather and climate related extremes are on average €13 Billion per year and are set to increase to EUR €1 Trillion by the end of the century[1]. The EU and the Member States must be prepared to scale-up their efforts to adapt to climate change.
There are clear benefits to adapting, including strengthened food and water security, conserved nature and biodiversity, including via eco-based solutions, and resilient communities. All of which will help to fortify Europe’s path to climate neutrality…
